For my final project in my Geography 572 course, I created a StoryMap exploring the patterns of midterm elections in the United States, specifically detailing how and why the president's party tends to lose midterm elections. The story uses maps in addition to charts and a plot line to explain these trends and the final product was a coherent story that debunked many of the myths about midterm elections and instead explained why these elections are often rooted in passion and anger rather than positive feelings about our nation's politics.
